Road Trip continues

It’s been a great response to our ‘subscribe now’ competition! Remember, if you subscribe you will go into the draw to win 500 bucks of Wilson gear. This week on the program we are fishing from Sydney to the far north of NSW. We start in the beautiful Port Stephens area, then make stops at both Coffs Harbour and South West Rocks. This part of Australia must be some of the most spectacular scenery around – and the fishing not bad to boot! Our next trip is planned for a couple of weeks when we plan on fishing Brisbane and it’s river for sharks (not something everyone would be into, but a good laugh all the same!) then beach fishing off Fraser Island before trying to trick a winter Barramundi in an impoundment – all as our road trip to warmer weather continues!

Subscribe Now to win big!

Hey everyone,

we’ve had a pretty quiet week just putting shows together and not being out on the water! You might have notice a link off a homepage asking people to “subscribe now” – basically it’s just a way for us to send you special offers our sponsors might make and keep you informed about upcoming programs. The good part, is our mates at Wilson will give one lucky ‘subscriber’ 500 bucks of fishing tackle. Not bad at all!

Our next fishing trip will be in a couple of weeks when we travel from Brisvagus north to finish off our road trip series. Can’t wait!

By the way, this weeks lucky winner of a Hook, Line and Sinker DVD is Robert. Well done Robert, we’ll get in touch with you shortly and send you a DVD for your efforts.

Until next week, Tightlines.

Nick and Andrew

Classic catches and upcoming DVD

What a great response to the classic catch comp we are running – over 1800 entries and some fantastic fish as well. There are so many, many, many better fisherman/women out there then both of us!!!! We did have some success last week however, we got a beautiful 7 kg snapper from the north coast of NSW on a soft plastics rod! The thing went very well indeed and took a good 20 minutes to land!

The other news we have is we just sent to the DVD burning people a DVD of the beginning of this seasons shows. It’s over 2 hours and has some great stuff on it, including all the big fish we actually did manage to catch. We will have it out for Fathers Day, so keep a close eye on the TV and this site in coming weeks to find out more about how to get your old man one!

This weeks show is the beginning of our road trip up the East Coast of Australia… We visit and meet some very interesting places/people along the way!

Tightlines,

Nick and Andrew

following the sun

Well it really is winter. This weeks episode shows that! We were stupid enough to go fishing in Tasmania’s highlands. Needless to say it wasn’t just cold, it was freezing! There was a foot of snow on the ground and while we tried to catch a trout we were able to come up with several levels of anti-cold devices (heaters!). We actually went to the effort of taking a generator and diesel powered jet heater – which melted the snow and probably scared away any self respecting trout!

Last week we caught some snapper and kingfish right in the middle of Sydney. This week we are on the road again traveling from Sydney to Brisbane and fishing in between. If you see us on the road in the Triton and Whittley give us a wave!

Until next week, tightlines!

Nick and Andrew
