Hook, Line and Sinker

We have just put the Triton and Whittley on the road and this week are making our first show where we just drive around, finding somewhere to fish! It’s great fun (this is only the first week we have taken to road, the fun might disappear after 3000 kilometres of living out of each others pockets!). Will keep you filled in on big fish captures!As you know we did a trip to NT not long ago, this weeks program is all about Barra fishing. We starting on a Mary River houseboat, which was hugely successful, lots of fish, nice NT type scenery but the insects… If you were made to spend a night on the flood plains, in the nude (this is what we talked about while on the house boat!) we think you would be eaten to death. Not by a croc, that would be doing you a favour, you’d be eaten alive by the billions and billons of buzzing mozzies, and other things that bite!Well done to Simon who won this weeks Classic Catch prize of an EvaKool ice box. We should put together some sort of slide show at the end showing everyone’s great fish! It really is impressive.As mentioned we’ll keep you informed with what we catch (if anything) and until next time, stay safe on the water!Nick and Andrew

Hello gang, great to be with you again and what a week it’s been in fishing! We have unfortunately spent the week in the office, getting shows ready to go to air. The next couple of weeks of episodes include fishing from the NT, a magic place to visit. We are also planning a road trip up the East Coast of Australia and will be fishing Bermagui late next week, hoping for a Yellowfin Tuna or two!This weeks winner of the DVD is Dave Blyth – don’t worry about not being able to catch a fish mate, happens to the best of us (often!), DVD is on it’s way, let us know if you catch anything.We now have over 800 entries in our Mitsubishi Classic Catch – a wonderful response, we love sitting back and looking at all those fabulous fish that you all catch. Hello Everyone and sorry for being so slack with the blog (or comments page…) as we’ve been away in the Top End making some great segments for upcoming Hook, Line and Sinker shows!The highlight was catching barra from a houseboat on a billabong surrounded by crocs and buffalo. It really was a true Northern Territory experience. We also caught Black Jewfish, more barra with our mates from Wilson Tackle, and a Spanish Mackeral right in Darwin Harbour itself. It’s a magic spot up there!Next trip we are doing will involve putting the Triton and Whittley and Yamaha on the road as just drive around looking for the ultimate fishing adventure! Not sure where we going to go, we’ll just see where the road takes us!Now, to our DVD competition each week, keep entering. We will pick someone to send the DVD to every week until the program finishes in September.This weeks show is a funny one – we have state of origin whiting fishing – Vic V SA (Surprisingly Victoria does alright too!) followed by us trying to catch an Australian Bass in Somerset Dam…9 hours we fished for them!There are some fantastic fishing photos being sent in – a whole lot of you can fish a whole lot better than us, that’s for sure!Let us know what you’d like to see on this blog – there’s been some great suggestions, we’d like some more?Tightlines and see you out on the water!!!!!!Nick and Andrew
